AMS Global Group has convened its inaugural Advisory Board meeting at Pittodrie Stadium, underlining the company’s ambition to strengthen corporate governance and drive sustainable growth across its international operations.

The meeting, held on 22 July at Aberdeen Football Club’s iconic ground, brought together a group of respected industry figures with deep expertise in leadership, business growth, and organisational development. The creation of the Advisory Board is seen as a key step in supporting AMS’s executive team as it scales its marine and safety services globally.

The newly formed Advisory Board comprises:

  • Graeme Bell, Founder, Bell & Associates
  • Graeme Wood, Executive Chairman, SEO
  • Jonathan Smith, Chair of various charitable organisations and Business Facilitator, The Alternative Board (TAB)

They will work alongside AMS’s senior leadership team, which includes:

  • Neil Carr, Managing Director
  • Gary Bruce, Marine Director
  • Martin Taylor, Director
  • Ben Sutherland, General Manager
  • Nicola Hunter, Finance Manager

Neil Carr, Managing Director at AMS Global Group, said the board would play an important role in shaping the future of the company.

“The Advisory Board will support AMS as we scale responsibly, refine our governance, and invest in leadership capability,” he said. “It’s a key part of our commitment to delivering excellence, challenging convention, and growing with purpose.”

The decision to host the meeting at Pittodrie also reflects the company’s strong local ties. AMS extended its thanks to Aberdeen FC for the warm hospitality, and congratulated the club on its recent cup success, describing it as a reflection of the same values of resilience and performance that AMS aims to uphold in its own operations. With strategic discussions now underway and a framework in place for ongoing board engagement, AMS Global Group is positioning itself for the next phase of development, reinforcing its credentials as a trusted provider of marine and safety solutions on the global stage.
