Scotland’s leading member owned co-operative, ANM Group, has announced a number of promotional appointments at its Caithness Livestock Centre which operates out of Quoybrae. This recent announcement comes off the back of a period of significant growth in throughput over the past eighteen months and these appointments demonstrate the Groups continued commitment and investment to the ongoing livestock operation at Quoybrae.

The promotions see Andrew Gunn taking on the role of Centre Manager at Quoybrae with Gemma Duguid stepping into the role of Assistant Centre Manager. Local man, Craig Durrand, becomes Office Supervisor whilst Andrew Sinclair is promoted to Mart Foreman. The Caithness team continue to be supported by Ian Macleay in his role as Canvasser/Fieldsperson and Scott Chapman continues to lead the Auction team at the Centre.

John Angus, Head of Livestock for Aberdeen and Northern Marts said: “We are delighted to continue to strengthen our livestock marketing operation at Quoybrae. These appointments mean we can provide the local farming community with the best and most affordable marketing facility here on their doorstep.

“We firmly believe that our team can deliver the best results for our existing customer base. As a co-operative ANM Group works resolutely for its members and in 2021 the Group delivered savings of £370,000 to members due to reduced commission rates.

“Caithness stock is renowned for being top quality and keenly sought after by finishers. We are pleased with the ongoing support from producers in the county which is reflected in the significant increase in stock throughput at Caithness.”
