Applications for the Social Enterprise Just Transition Fund (SEJTF) have officially opened. The Social Enterprise Just Transition Fund is aligned with the Scottish Government’s Just Transition outcomes, a commitment that will support projects in Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray.

The fund aims to finance organisations, businesses, and communities to transition to net zero, creating jobs in low-carbon industries and contributing to the region’s future prosperity. SEJTF will be a blended product with a grant element of up to 50% of the overall funding request, the remainder will be loan

The Fund

The fund is 50% grant and 50% loan, with an interest rate of 3%. There’s a minimum value of £20,000 (total of loan and grant) that can be applied for, and a maximum value of £400,000 (with a grant element of up to 50% of the overall funding request, the remainder will be loan). There is a simple Expression of Interest (EOI) form, however, organisations are encouraged to pick up the phone or drop Social Investment Scotland an email if they want to know more.

Applications close on Friday, August 4.

Information Sessions

Social Investment Scotland will have a range of online Market Building sessions and in-person masterclasses that will be running to raise awareness of what a Just Transition is and to support leaders to meet the opportunities of a Just Transition, while recognising the current challenges including the Cost of Living Crisis.
