AquaTerra wins contract to develop and deliver ‘Golden Rules’ course

Provider of practical health and safety training services, AquaTerra Training has successfully designed and written a bespoke, Driver CPC approved safety induction programme for road transport specialists, ARR Craib Transport Ltd.

This custom training programme is the result of a contract win for AquaTerra at the end of 2017.

Covering topics such as daily checks, load security, driving and accidents, the course, titled ‘ARR Craib Golden Rules’ was developed collaboratively between the two companies to combine industry standard with ARR Craib’s company-specific requirements.

“We are delighted to support ARR Craib by delivering a tailor-made safety induction course to its workforce” said Stephen Ferguson, training manager, AquaTerra Training. “The ‘ARR Craib Golden Rules’ course is the first of its kind and the content truly reflects the high standard of training provision that AquaTerra can offer. It covers topics that aim to reduce damage to vehicles, increase fuel efficiency and most importantly, enhance the safety of over 300 of ARR Craib’s personnel.”

“AquaTerra Training has continued to work closely with clients in the haulage industry and support them in finding cost-effective solutions. It has been extremely well received.”

Steven Anderson, Oil Services & HSE Director, ARR CRAIB Transport added, “We initially approached AquaTerra based on its extensive track record, and whilst we had a fairly concise idea of what we wanted the training to achieve, AquaTerra’s input has been extremely valuable in honing the overall message of safety we wanted to deliver to the ARR Craib workforce.

ARR Craib is committed to maintaining its fleet to the highest standards, giving our customers surety of service. By adopting an integrated approach to the course’s development, it has allowed us to embed this core value into the training and so far, it has been very well received by all who have participated.”

Delivery of ‘ARR Craib Golden Rules’ training commenced in January 2018 and is scheduled to run on a weekly basis at ARR Craib’s premises in Dyce, Aberdeen and Cumbernauld, Glasgow for the remainder of the year.
