Nimbus Blue are hosting four face-to-face events during Cyber Scotland Week tailored specifically to small business owners and leaders looking to learn how to defend their business from this cyber crime pandemic. Learn, network and collaborate with industry experts, stakeholders, and other small business leaders. A panel of experts will be there to demystify cyber security, answer your questions and give real actionable tips to protect your business from cyber crime.

Tuesday, March 1 – 10:00am to 11:30am – ‘Hack the Hacker’

This event is for those that want to find out more about cyber security awareness training, how to engage their workforce and adopt a better cyber security culture; after all 98% of successful cyber attacks are as a result of human error. Nimbus Blue have put on an industry-first escape room with a cyber theme, so at the very least you’ll have a great time.

Wednesday, March 2 - 12:00pm to 1:30pm – ‘What the HECK is Cyber Essentials?’

Have you heard about Cyber Essentials (CE)? Are your supplier’s asking you to demonstrate your cyber security posture? If so, then CE is the first step in your cyber security journey and the only government backed cyber security scheme, this Q&A session will answer all your questions. Achieving CE won’t only prevent 80% of cyber attacks (the low hanging fruit) it gives you a nice badge to put on your collateral and website to demonstrate that you care about your staff, supplier and customer data. Now if you’re tendering for government contracts this is mandatory, a frequent request from the Energy sector and my inside source says that if you work in the financial and legal sector it may become mandatory in the not too distant future.

Thursday, March 3 - 1:00pm to 2:30pm -‘Hack the Hacker’

The second Hack the Hacker escape room. There are only 10 spaces on each session so book on quick.

Friday, March 4 - ‘12:00pm to 1:30pm – Ask the Cyber Guys’

The second in the series and we have some heavy hitters on our panel to answer all things cyber. This Q&A session will allow you to direct the conversation anyway you wish, small business leaders, experts and stakeholders are there to support and answer all your concerns around cyber security.

Aberdeen’s OGV Taproom will provide the venue and fantastic refreshments and/or lunch.
