Nine graduates and seven placements – a record – are to join the Aberdeen office of Azets following a strong year in which the business expanded its Albyn Place offices by 25% to 6000 sq ft.
Azets also unveiled seven internal promotions including the promotion of Matthew Allan to Director. In March, Frazer Nicol was promoted to Partner just six months after his appointment to lead a new corporate tax team to service growing demand for advice on tax compliance and structuring, overseas expansion, transfer pricing and cross border financing.
Across Scotland, Azets has announced 36 promotions including three new Directors and a new Head of Cyber Services.
David Booth, Regional Managing Partner for Aberdeen said: “The Aberdeen office has grown strongly, and we hope to see staff numbers of around 100 by the end of 2024.
“This growth has created exceptional opportunities for both our staff, new recruits and especially for the next generation of new accountancy talent. As such we are delighted that we have a record number of graduates and trainees joining the business this year and wish them every success and extend our congratulations to the staff that have been promoted. Accountancy offers an interesting and rewarding career and we invest heavily in our people and encourage them to pursue their career ambitions across the wider Azets group within the UK and across Europe.”
