Banchory Beer Festival Beer @ the Barn 2018

With Dry January over, it seems as though those who undertook the challenge are looking forward to a cold brew or gin this month at, Banchory Beer Festival's Beer @ the Barn"

For the fourth your running now local Banchory brother's Mungo & Guy Finlayson, the founders of popular festival Banchory Beer Festival are returning to Banchory's newly rebranded "Barn" for their winter fling. Beer @ the Barn is a two day festival being held, on February 16-17.

Featuring a vast range of 15 beers, 12 gins, Banchory's local rum, prosecco and ciders there is something to drink for everyone. To accompany the drinks there is live music during all three sessions and if that wasn't enough to tempt the taste buds there will be an offering of paellas and local pies & mash.

Mungo Finlayson, festival operations director & co-founder said " We are excited to be offering our biggest range of gins yet at our winter festival. Including a range of Eden Mill gins, Orkney gins, Strathearn gins and everyones favourite Warner Edwards flavoured Rhubarb gin and sloe gin. We've managed to have such a range of gins due to stock holdings from our new gin festival " OriGINs - The Scottish Gin Festival" which took place last November in Duthie Park"

The festival welcomes a range of music throughout the two days/ three sessions including local talent - Stuart Dickinson, Ella Winter & Martin JJ Simpson Music, Reloaded, Bethany Janette, Full Fat and many others.

Beers are on offer from the following breweries, Burning Sky, Cloudwater Brew Co., Cromarty Brewing, Dalrannoch Brewing, Deeside Brewery, Fierce Beer Co., Magic Rock Brewing, Two Thirsty Men and Wild Beer Co. With many of these being a first time appearance for the festival.

Guy Finlayson, director of drinks & co-founder said, " I'm really pleased to have a great list of beers on offer at this year's Beer @ the Barn, including Cloudwater Brew Co, which has been listed as one of the top breweries in the world after just two years of trading. As always we like to support local breweries and bring in beers from further afield so there is a wide range of beers on offer for all these beer fans."

Banchory Beer Festival continue there transport partnership with Stagecoach Bus, offering a convenient 5 minutes from "bus to beer" solution. Stagecoach run additional buses at 00:15 for both the Friday night and Saturday night sessions for those returning to Aberdeen. Tickets cost £17.50 per session plus eventbrite booking fee and include your first drinks token, a festival programme, a festival cup and all the live music.
