Bancon Group is celebrating a major achievement in its 50th year as both its Homes and Construction divisions have been named finalists in the 2025 Scottish Home Awards.
Bancon Homes is shortlisted in the Excellence in Customer Service category, reflecting the company’s long-standing commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Meanwhile, Bancon Construction has been recognised as a finalist in two categories: Social Housing Development of the Year (Under 100 units) for the Kaimhill project, and Social Housing Development of the Year (Over 100 units) for the landmark Cloverhill development in Bridge of Don. Both projects were delivered on behalf of Aberdeen City Council.
The Scottish Homes Awards ceremony will be held at the Doubletree by Hilton in Glasgow on Thursday, June 19.
Cloverhill has already been named a finalist in the Homes for Scotland Awards under Affordable Development of the Year (Large), with the winners to be announced at a ceremony in Edinburgh on May 30.
Jamie Tosh, managing director of Bancon Homes and Bancon Construction, said: “Being shortlisted in three categories in such a prestigious national awards programme is a fantastic achievement for our team. It reflects our unwavering commitment to building high-quality private and affordable homes, creating sustainable communities, and continually raising standards in design and construction.
“With housing central to Scotland’s social wellbeing and economic growth, we are proud to play our part and to continue driving forward best practice across the sector.”

Founded in Banchory in 1975 as a small joinery business, Bancon Group has grown into one of Scotland’s leading construction and housebuilding firms, employing more than 250 people across its three divisions, Bancon Homes, Bancon Construction and Deeside Timberframe.
This recognition highlights the Group’s enduring focus on quality, innovation and sustainable building practices.
Bancon Homes has received the prestigious In-House Gold Award for Customer Satisfaction for eight consecutive years. In 2023-24, 100% of surveyed customers said they would recommend the company. As a registered developer with the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB), Bancon Homes adheres to industry-leading standards that are regularly measured and audited.
Cloverhill, one of Scotland’s largest affordable housing developments currently under construction, is a shining example of what can be achieved through ambition, partnership and community focus.
The development includes 536 homes, community facilities and vital infrastructure - all being delivered ahead of schedule - and sets a new standard for sustainable, high-performance social housing.
The Kaimhill Housing Project, completed in September 2023, transformed a former outdoor sports centre into a vibrant neighbourhood of 35 affordable homes.
It includes three bungalows and 32 three- and four-bedroom terraced homes, 15% of which meet enhanced accessibility standards.
These incorporate dementia-friendly features and adaptable layouts in line with Homes for Varying Needs, helping residents to age in place and live independently.
