Scot Borland, Managing Director at BME Group, said:

“The addition of Ben Yousef to the team is the latest step in broadening the reach of our lighting products. We’re very proud to say we’ve developed a lighter, brighter, and better product that is British-made and already being used globally by some of industry’s biggest names. We’re delighted to have someone of Ben’s expertise on-board as we look to move the company forward.”

Ben Yousef who has recently led his team to win Scotland Prestige Awards for Industrial Lighting Specialist of Year 2023/2024, said: “This is an incredible opportunity to contribute to and help grow this innovative company. The market for temporary and portable solutions for hazardous areas is seriously lacking. We have a fantastic product with exceptional cost and efficiency advantages as well as an aftermarket service that is customer focused.”

“It is now necessary to persuade decision-makers that a step change has occurred in this part of the supply chain and to establish BME Nitech as the preferred temporary and portable lighting option.”

One of Ben's earlier accomplishments in addition to the Award-Winning Scotland Prestige Awards was establishing and managing successful business alliances throughout UK, North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. He has already secured international distributor arrangements in the USA, India, Kazakhstan, and is currently negotiating with a few more regional businesses.

BME Nitech is predicting a bright future for its innovative industrial lighting solution after investing over £1million in a product development programme.

Designed in-house by BME, its full range of lights are manufactured in Aberdeen, UK with all product materials purchased from British companies.

The innovative products took more than four years to develop and have already been adopted by North Sea operators, fabric maintenance firms, shipyards, refineries, distilleries, emergency services, the aerospace industry, and other sectors.

BME Nitech’s temporary and portable lighting products, which includes a range suitable for use in Zone 0, I, and II hazardous areas, represent an upgraded and more cost-effective option than others on the market.
