Boozy Events has been nominated as a finalist in the "Global Startup" category of The StartUp Awards National Series due to their international success.
Gregor Sey commented "In summer 2020 I made a goal of being able to deliver our experiences nationally, and by the end of the year we smashed it by shipping to more than 20 countries. Despite Brexit and the dozen other logistical nightmares over the last couple of years, our international growth has continued and we have now shipped to over 60 countries".
The StartUp Awards National Series has been launched to recognise the booming start-up scene across the UK, which has accelerated since the pandemic began. In 2020, when most of the world was shutting down, more than 400,000 startups were set up in Britain, with similar increases seen in other European countries.
The Scottish start-ups that made the shortlist are a true snapshot of the future economy, with a collective turnover of over £26million and employing 467 people between them.
