Caithness based Budding Engineers CIC has recently become new members of the Chamber

The small Community Interest Company inspires STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and maths) through 3D design and digital technology, including the recycling of old IT equipment.

A recent trip saw the team deliver several desktops computers to families who are home educating their children in the Aberdeenshire area.

Also, on the same trip they were collecting devices from several charitable organisations in Aberdeen city.

There were several desktop computers, monitors and a box of cables from the Aberdeen branch of the Samaritans, as well as a laptop that had been donated by a family member.

A spokesperson for Budding Engineers CIC said: "We received donations of several laptops and an all-in-one computer from the Newton Dee Community. A gentleman from Inverurie also kindly donated a laptop.

"Then a quick meeting and coffee with Susan from the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce before we had to head back up the road.

"All in all, it was a very successful, enjoyable and worthwhile trip."
