Budding Engineers have recently donated fully refurbished laptops to Milton of Lays Primary School as part of the Tech4Tots & Teens initiative.
Tech4Tots & Teens, began in July 2021 and was funded by SCVO as part of the Device Refurbishment Support Fund. The project aim is to donate refurbished laptops and devices to as many young people as possible. Coming to an end in March 2022, the charity seek to spread the word and encourage people to donate any unwanted devices.
Liz Kerr, finance director said: "We handed over the laptops to Robert Gil, the new head teacher at Milton of Leys Primary. The school are helping to try and find devices for us and we are looking forward to developing our relationship with them."
The not-for-profit organisation aim to inspire STEAM learning (science, technology, engineering, art and maths) into education through 3D design, CAD and digital technology.
"The project has been going really well. We have Highlife Highland helping us to spread the word and several libraries are being used as drop off around the Highlands", Liz continued. " We are hoping to get more devices from business and people around Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire before our deadline at the end of March."
