Northsound’s Cash for Kids is thrilled to introduce their latest fundraising extravaganza, Dance for Kids.

Set to dazzle attendees on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at The Beach Ballroom, this event promises a spectacular evening of entertainment.

Dance for Kids takes inspiration from the beloved television sensation Strictly Come Dancing, bringing together up to 10 adult pairings in a spirited Ballroom and Latin competition, all competing for the coveted title of 'Dance for Kids Champion'. Adding to the excitement, the event will launch with a Junior competition, where 5 Junior pairings will compete for the title of Dance for Kids Junior Champion.

The charity warmly invites individuals to participate in this thrilling event. Whether you're eager to learn a new skill, support fundraising efforts for local children, or simply revel in the joy of dance, Dance for Kids offers the perfect opportunity. No prior dance experience is necessary—all that's needed is a willingness to learn. Participants can register with a partner, colleague, family member, or individually, with the charity facilitating matches for solo applicants. Upon confirmation, competitors will receive four one-hour dance lessons and will have up to 8 weeks to rehearse for the main event.

Jamie Smith, Charity Manager, shared his excitement about the event, stating, "We are very excited to be bringing an event like this to The Beach Ballroom. There is a real appetite to learn some Ballroom and Latin dancing, and we are thrilled to give people the platform to learn and help raise money for our Winter Warmer Appeal. I am looking forward to seeing the applications come in for participating then seeing those who are successful in the studio and their journey to the main event." Smith also expressed heartfelt appreciation to Sport Aberdeen for providing rehearsal space for training each of the participants.
