Specialist rope access and inspection service company TRAC Oil & Gas Ltd has announced it has changed its name to TRAC Energy Limited, effective from 1st March.
Taking this decision to reflect its journey to a net zero future, the Aberdeen-headquartered company already has strong ties to the clean energy industry having worked in renewables for over a decade and having developed a roadmap to a new zero carbon future with clear environmental targets.
TRAC Energy Ltd has an impressive record working within the energy sector and has recently been awarded further work in the sector which will cover 10 assets in the North Sea.
In the last couple of years the company has taken steps to convert its transport fleet to electric and last year established a dedicated renewables division appointing a Renewable Services Manager to take its energy services to the next level, as they continue to work in offshore wind, which is a focus growth market for the company over the next ten years.
TRAC Energy Ltd Managing Director, Danny Hawthorn said: “It’s the right time to make this change in business name, it’s a subtle yet significant moment for the business as we place ourselves in the middle of a transitioning market.
"At TRAC, our focus for the business will remain the same as we continue to offer our best in class service to our clients with no changes to our delivery. We are thrilled about the latest contract wins for integrity and inspection management scopes of work, and these wins are testament to the relationships that our team has nurtured with our customers over the years.”
As the industry transitions and enters into a new era, post pandemic, TRAC Energy Ltd aims to grow organically with its customers into the new future of energy services diversifying to fit the carbon transition and hydrogen markets.
