· Update from Stagecoach Bluebird on changes to timetables
· Safety and well-being of customers and bus employees remains top priority
Stagecoach Bluebird has provided an update on changes being made to bus timetables with the majority of changes as a result of changes to services operated on behalf of Aberdeenshire Council.
Revised timetables will be in place from Monday August 16 and are now available to download at stagecoachbus.com.
Services affected –
- 41 – Insch – Inverurie – Reduction in daily journeys operated.
- 201 – Deeside – Sunday journeys will now operate as service 201.
- 231 – Huntly – Alford - Saturday service no longer operated by Stagecoach. Weekday journeys available to the general public from this date.
- 290/291 – Aberdeen – Tarves - Mon – Sat service continues with no changes to timetable. Sunday service no longer operated by Stagecoach.
- 301 - Macduff – Huntly – Saturday service withdrawn.
- 308 – Aberchirder – Inverurie – Service withdrawn.
- 403 – Kingseat – Inverurie – New service operates Tuesdays only.
- 416 – Inverurie – Rhynie - Service withdrawn.
- 422 – Insch – Alford – Revised journey times.
- 51 – Ellon – New Pitsligo – Service will not be operated by Stagecoach.
- 81 – Boddam – Peterhead - Mon – Sat service remains in place. Service on Sundays no longer operated by Stagecoach.
- 270 – Fraserburgh – New Pitsligo - Revised journey times.
- 271 – Banff – Fraserburgh - Service will not be operated by Stagecoach.
- 272 – Fraserburgh – Banff - Revised journey times.
Other changes from the same date affect services –
- 22 – Inverurie Town Service – Revised timetable with 3 journeys withdrawn.
- X67/X68 – Aberdeen – Fraserburgh – Minor timetable changes.
- 34 – Elgin Town – School holiday 1720 journey withdrawn.
- V1 – Fiona Elcock Vaccination Shuttle – service withdrawn. Connections to the vaccine centre will still be available using service 33A/33C/36.
- 21A/22A/22B – Lochside Academy – Stagecoach will operate 3 services from Torry, Balnagask and Cove to Lochside Academy in Aberdeen, on behalf of Aberdeen City Council.
Peter Knight, managing director for Stagecoach Bluebird said: “While the changes from August 16 do not affect our most popular bus services, these timetable revisions will affect some of the smaller communities across Aberdeenshire.
“I’m extremely proud of the way our team across Aberdeenshire and Moray has worked together to ensure that we can continue to deliver services in the most challenging of times.”
Stagecoach has taken extensive action to protect the safety of its customers and staff with a number of additional measures in place including enhanced cleaning regimes. Social distancing measures remain in place on board all Stagecoach buses in Scotland and face coverings are encouraged for anyone making a journey by bus. A recent update to the Stagecoach mobile app also allows customers to see how busy their bus is likely to be before it arrives at their stop.
