Charlie House has recently promoted Kirsty Jarvie to marketing and communications team lead and welcomed Rachel Davidson, Bradley Marr and Jill Cameron as marketing and communications coordinators.
Now a four-strong team, the new structure supports the charity’s ambitious plans to raise awareness of its services and its Big Build Appeal, an initiative to build a dedicated specialist support centre in the North-east for children and babies with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
With a marketing background spanning property, transport and now third sector, Kirsty first worked for Charlie House as a digital marketing specialist focused on managing the charity’s online presence.
Now leading the development and delivery of the overall marcomms strategy, Kirsty’s role has evolved to managing the day-to-day of a fast-paced department, while also leading on social media management, campaign planning, and designing of marketing materials, as well as supporting the team’s training.
With more than two years’ experience, Rachel joins Charlie House from e-commerce company Fairwayrock. Previously responsible for the creation and implementation of the company’s core marketing activity, content planning and analytical reporting, Rachel brings a strong copywriting skill-set and wealth of experience to support the team’s key outputs.
Currently a student at Robert Gordon University, Bradley first started with the team during a 12 week placement while studying his third year of BA (hons) Digital Marketing. Following a successful internship, Bradley has officially joined the team where he will work full-time during the summer break before continuing on a part-time basis while he completes his final year of studies.
As a keen digital marketer, Bradley’s previous experience working with the charity, combined with skills in delivering compelling copy and visual content, will be vital to ensuring all key messages and objectives are covered.
Jill joins Charlie House from Citymoves Dance Agency SCIO, where she worked as a marketing coordinator. Following previous positions in the energy and construction sectors, Jill brings a variety of skills including branding, communications and sales, to the team.
As a family which is supported by Charlie House, Jill has first-hand knowledge of the support and value the charity adds to families in the region. This, combined with her marketing background, will help ensure all marcomms activity directly reflects the charity’s key messages and appeals to the target audience.
In their new roles, Rachel, Bradley and Jill will work closely with Kirsty to deliver strategic and highly engaging content across all Charlie House platforms, ensuring maximum exposure for the charity's services and fundraising initiatives.
Kirsty Jarvie, marketing and communications team lead at Charlie House said: “I’m incredibly excited to have moved up to the position of team lead, where I will be able to develop the skills and strengths within my new team and utilise these to drive the success of Charlie House through inspirational storytelling and results-orientated content.
“Welcoming Bradley, Rachel and Jill to the Charlie House team is a very exciting time for us and they have all brought impressive skills, knowledge and experience to the company, as well as passion and determination to reach our goals.
“With their support and hard work, we can strengthen our fundraising efforts, deliver compelling campaigns which will help spread awareness about our mission and ultimately make a difference to the communities we serve. I am looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together as a team!”
