Leading auctioneering company, Thainstone Specialist Auctions (a division of ANM Group) held its most recent online sale of plant, equipment, machinery and commercial vehicles at Thainstone Centre on Wednesday June 16.
The live online auction featured an entry of 1,617 lots and achieved an excellent sales rate of 85%. A timed online auction of builder’s equipment was also held in the run up to the sale. More than 635 online bidders participated in the sale.

Strong prices were met across all categories with an especially good trade value for a 2020 Range Rover Sport Dynamic HSE TDV6, which reached the top price of £52,500 followed by a 2019 Ford Ranger Wildtrak D/C Pick Up reaching £25,000 – both commercial vehicles were sold on behalf of the administrators of Alexander Inglis & Son. Within the tractors, telehandlers and plant equipment section a 2003 JCB 3CX wheeled excavator sold for £21,500. The small plant and ground care category saw AGRIA tracked remote control mower achieve £9,500 and a Lely 435 Chopper round baler sold for £9,000 with the implement and machinery section. A 2013 Merc Benz Actros 3332AK hook loader achieved £22,500 with the lorries and HGV trailers category; and lastly the trailers and containers section saw a IW BV10x5x6 box trailer reach £2,500.
