Aberdeen-based networks, telecoms and cyber security specialists, 4MS, have recently been working alongside a global Renewable Energy leader on the commissioning of networks, security, Wi-Fi, CCTV, telephony and met systems for an Offshore Wind platform and onshore sub-station.
The 4MS team examined the current state of an ongoing project, assessing what the client’s outcomes and requirements were, and created a plan of works accordingly. Their team of GWO certified engineers successfully executed the plan, working in a challenging multi-vendor environment for the various systems on site.
The project involved utilising 4MS’ network engineering, telecoms engineering, field engineering, service delivery and procurement services, demonstrating end-to-end Offshore Wind capability. Following the high standards practiced throughout the project and successful results, the client is keen to explore further opportunities across other sites and projects.
4MS looks forward to further involvement in the sector, with the development of several Offshore Wind projects accelerating the growth of their diversification into Renewables.
