Parenthood is full of precious moments — but it also brings challenges, especially when your little one feels warm, fussy, or unwell.
For Joe Hunter, founder of Cool Cuddle, those moments became the inspiration behind a product designed to make a difference.
As a single parent whose child was born 6 weeks premature and suffered frequent illnesses in his early years, Joe experienced firsthand the emotional challenge of wanting to comfort her baby without exasperating an existing temperature during illness. From that experience, Cool Cuddle was born, a soft, easy-to-wear vest paired with a reusable gel pack that helps parents share calm, comforting cuddles without transferring body heat.
The gel pack features a pressure-activated release that provides gentle cooling on its own, or it can be popped in the fridge for extra relief when needed. Cool Cuddle is quick to put on, easy to use, and created to help parents stay connected when their little ones need it most. Watch the video below to see how Cool Cuddle works.

The Cool Cuddle vest and gel pack are now available to buy online, bringing comfort, calm, and connection to families everywhere. Each purchase also gives back, with a portion of every sale donated to neonatal charities, supporting families and babies in critical stages of early life.
Behind the storytelling and brand growth is Farsight, an Aberdeen-based video and digital marketing agency helping local businesses grow through creative storytelling and strategic content. Farsight has partnered with Cool Cuddle to bring Joe’s mission to life, developing videos, graphic designs, photography and campaigns that connect emotionally with parents while expanding reach across the UK.
“Our goal with Cool Cuddle was to highlight Joe’s story — one of care, resilience, and purpose. It’s more than a product launch; it’s about supporting families and helping local businesses make an impact," said Michael Silva, Founder and Managing Director of Farsight.
“The Farsight team have already created some top-quality videography and graphic design content to start my journey off, understanding exactly what I wanted and perfectly capturing my product. I feel safe in the knowledge that I don't have to tirelessly chase or explain what I am looking for. Michael has a strategic approach, so I don't have to think about that, which means I can concentrate on growing my business - it takes a weight off!," said Joe Hunter, Founder of Cool Cuddle.
Together, Joe and Farsight are showing what’s possible when passion meets purpose, creating comfort for families while strengthening the creative and entrepreneurial community here in Aberdeen.
