Aberdeen based diamond wire cutting specialists CUT UK have had a number of high profile visitors recently.
Jackie Dunbar, local MSP, was keen to see a successful local business, working in the heart of the decom and renewables industry, completing projects that will assist in the move to Net Zero. CUT also welcomed delegates from the Australian Decommissioning Roadmap Taskforce, who were particularly interested in the patented cutting solutions, and how CUT and other experienced decom experts can bring their vast track record to the Australian decom market. CUT have recently performed a number of large subsea cutting projects in Australia and see this area as having huge potential.
On Thursday CUT also welcomed Richard Thomson, (MP for Gordon) and Kirsty Blackman (MP for Aberdeen North), as CUT mark the success of 8,000 cuts completed. Bruce Sinclair, Business Development Manager for CUT said “We were pleased to share our success with our local MP’s and discuss our recent actions to evolve and expand into new markets and sectors. CUT currently have live operations in 6 continents, 19 live cutting projects, utilising 34 cutting machines. We are proud to represent Aberdeen globally and delighted to have the support of our local MP's. For 40 years, CUT have been at the heart of the decom and renewables industries, completing diamond wire cuts on pipelines, platform jackets, wrecks and monopiles.”
