DNV has appointed Lisa Christie as a new member of the Energy Systems Executive Leadership Team heading Marketing, Communication & Public Affairs (MCP).

She is expected to take up the role on September 7, 2026 and will report directly to Energy Systems’ CEO Ditlev Engel. In this position, she will lead the global MCP unit in Energy Systems and help strengthen DNV’s market positioning, stakeholder engagement and public affairs capability in a period marked by major geopolitical and regulatory change.

Lisa joins DNV with senior experience from the energy sector and corporate affairs leadership. She has served in public affairs leadership roles at Vattenfall, including Director of Public and Regulatory Affairs for the UK and Interim UK Country Manager. Prior to joining Vattenfall she led Group Public Affairs team at Centrica. Lisa has an active engagement on public policy and energy transition issues, including Vice-Chair of the UK Government’s Onshore Wind Industry Delivery Group and participation in the Offshore Wind Industry Council.

“Lisa brings exactly the combination of strategic communication, public affairs leadership and external perspective that we need in this phase of our strategy. The energy transition is unfolding in an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape, where regulatory developments, industrial policy, energy security and market conditions are changing rapidly across regions. In that environment, the ability to understand the bigger picture, anticipate shifts and translate complexity into clear priorities is becoming ever more important. Lisa’s background will help us strengthen how we engage externally, support our customers and position DNV with clarity and credibility in a period of significant change,” said Ditlev Engel, CEO, Energy Systems at DNV.

Engel also thanked the current leader of MCP, Caroline Kamerbeek, for her outstanding contribution and leadership over many years, which has ensured that DNV’s Energy Systems market position is so strongly anchored in the industry.

Caroline Kamerbeek said: “Having fulfilled the MCP leadership function for 15 years, I am happy to pass the torch to my successor Lisa, wishing her a lot of success. I would like to thank Ditlev Engel and my fantastic team of professionals for their trust and support. I will continue my path in DNV, contributing to the energy transition combined with external board functions.”

In her new role, Lisa will lead the Marketing, Communication & Public Affairs function in Energy Systems, with 48 employees located across the globe. The role is designed to reinforce DNV’s public affairs capability and ensure that geopolitical insight, regulatory understanding and strategic communication are closely integrated with business priorities, customer engagement and reputation building.

“I am excited to join DNV and to take on this role at such an important time for the energy sector. The transition ahead will require strong collaboration across business, policy and society, and clear communication will be essential. DNV has a strong purpose, a trusted reputation and deep technical expertise. I look forward to working with colleagues across the company to strengthen our impact, support the business and help position DNV strongly in a fast-changing external environment,” said Lisa Christie.

In addition to leading marketing and communication, the role includes responsibility for strengthening relationships with policymakers, trade associations and other strategic stakeholders, supporting internal engagement, and further developing MCP capabilities across the business, including digital customer engagement and advisory support.
