Electra Learning Ltd, a leading IT change management and learning specialist, has recently undergone a significant transition.

Donna McWilliams, the long-standing Managing Director who has been with the company since 2009, will be stepping back from her role and paving the way for fresh leadership.

Established in 1997, Electra has gone from strength to strength; expanding from its original operations within Aberdeen (UK) to open several further offices in Calgary, Toronto (Canada), and Houston (U.S). The company’s management buyout (MBO) marks an exciting chapter in Electra’s journey.

Speaking on the subject, Donna McWilliams shared her reflections on the transition: “Electra is part of my DNA and always will be, but I believe now is the right time for new leadership to guide our company forward. I am excited about Electra’s future and I know that the new leadership team will bring fresh perspectives and energy to make that happen. Going forward, I will be involved with key client projects and I’m looking forward to supporting the new leadership team in their roles.”

New Leadership Team

Allison Quinn, Managing Director (North America): Allison brings extensive experience in organisational development and client relations. Alongside Electra President, Neil Summers, her strategic vision will drive Electra Learning’s expansion in the North American market.

Austin McKenzie, Digital Director (Europe): Austin’s expertise in eLearning and technology will enhance our digital solutions. He will lead initiatives to optimise user experiences and foster innovation across our platforms.

Beth Milne, Managing Director (Europe): Beth’s background in the learning sector and business management aligns perfectly with our mission. She will head our European operations, ensuring excellence in service delivery.

Elaine Donaldson, Finance Manager: Elaine’s financial insight and attention to detail will be invaluable as we navigate our continued growth. Her role is critical in maintaining our financial health.

“We are thrilled to welcome Allison, Austin, Beth, and Elaine to the board of directors,” says Neil Summers, President of Electra Learning. “The company has always had a strong culture of promoting from within, and their combined years of experience with Electra will ensure the continued growth and dedication to our clients that we strive for.”

The management buyout signals a new era for Electra Learning. With a renewed focus on innovation, client satisfaction, and employee development, the company is poised for continued success. As the team settles into their roles, exciting projects and collaborations lie ahead.
