The Energy Industries Council (EIC), the leading trade association for companies that supply goods and services to the energy industries worldwide, announces the appointment of Ts. Syed Saggaf bin Syed Ahmad as its new regional director for Asia Pacific (APAC).
Saggaf succeeds Azman Nasir, who has left the EIC after eleven years of distinguished service. Nasir contributed massively to the development of the EIC in the APAC region and played an instrumental role in many global EIC decisions.

Saggaf joins the EIC following a highly successful 15-year tenure at Shapadu Group, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer of its Oil and Gas Division. He also served as Executive Director of Shapadu subsidiary CR Asia Sdn Bhd. Saggaf brings over 25 years of regional energy industry experience, spanning engineering, project management, and executive leadership. He is also the current President of the Malaysian Oil, Gas & Energy Services Council (MOGSC).

Saggaf will lead the EIC's activities across the Asia Pacific region from the organisation's Kuala Lumpur office, supporting members and bolstering the EIC's influence in this critical energy market.
