Aberdeenshire Council is delighted to launch the recruitment process for the upcoming Enterprising Aberdeenshire project.

Enterprising Aberdeenshire is a community economic project that supports enterprise activity by providing tailored advice and support within the region and focuses on delivery throughout the six areas of Aberdeenshire. The project will recruit six coordinators and one team leader to deliver the service along with a marketing and events officer as key to the project will be delivering locality-based events and activities.

The project will support and be led by local requirements to stimulate and nurture a culture of entrepreneurship within the areas and support new and existing businesses to thrive and help create a competitive advantage. Each area will have a full-time coordinator that will cover that area, and they will work within that locality mainly with individuals, startups and organisations, by working locally with what is best for the people who live and work, thereby supporting them to be enterprising.

Jamie Hutcheon, Business Gateway Manager for Aberdeenshire Council said “We understand that business is about people, place and community, not just numbers. Taking a place-based approach means we can listen to the needs of prospective entrepreneurs and small businesses, and take a flexible and collaborative approach to finding their next step on the journey: working closely with existing services and colleagues we can provide, or signpost to, the right support.”

This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK shared prosperity fund.
