Entries are now open for the Aberdeen Golf Links Pro-Am 2019.
The event, which takes place from May 1-3, will kick off the golf season in style with a field of 78 teams competing at Royal Aberdeen, Trump International and Cruden Bay courses.
Each team will consist of one PGA professional and three amateurs, with the professionals competing for a prize fund of £40,000.
The Pro-Am team competition is a 54 hole stableford with the two best scores counting on each hole. There will be prizes for the top three teams along with three nearest the pin prizes each day. All 300 players will also be invited to attend a dinner and prize-giving with legendary player, designer and commentator Sam Torrance OBE; and presenter Dougie Donnelly at The Marcliffe Hotel and Spa.
There will be good mix of club professionals and tour professionals competing in the event (both male & female). The PGA will be running the tournament and will allocate a PGA professional to each team. Teams are however, more than welcome to bring their own professional. The draw will be finalised at the start of April.
A number of good hotels in Aberdeen are supporting the event by offering preferential rates.
The cost to enter is £2,400 per team and includes play at each of the three courses, bacon rolls and coffee served each morning at each golf course; plus a three course dinner and prize giving at The Marcliffe Hotel & Spa.
