Young people, parents and employers in the region will have the chance to attend free apprenticeship information events as part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week. The events have been organised by Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) North East and its partners to support the campaign, which takes place from 4-8 March.

On Tuesday 5 March, North East Scotland College (NESCol) will host an All About Apprenticeships information evening for young people and their parents and carers at its Fraserburgh campus. The event runs from 1700-1930hrs and will include an exhibitor area with local employers, plus information sessions about apprenticeship opportunities in the region.

A city-based information evening for young people and their parents and carers will take place on Wednesday, 6 March. Organised in partnership with Skills Development Scotland, the Discover Apprenticeships event is being held at the Robert Gordon University. Attendees will have the chance to speak with employers who offer apprenticeship opportunities. A series of short presentations will highlight the different types of apprenticeship and how to find local opportunities.

Employers who are interested in recruiting and employing apprentices can join a lunchtime webinar on Wednesday, 20 March. The online session, which is again supported by Skills Development Scotland, will provide advice on how to get started and the support that’s available to employers.

Registration for all events is via the link here.
