The team at North East Sensory Services (NESS) are excited to share they are looking for a new vision rehabilitation specialist to join the team.

The role, based in Dundee, focuses on providing person-centred rehabilitation support for adults with sight loss (and dual sensory loss), enhancing independence, mobility, confidence, and quality of life.

Outlining the services NESS offers, Laura Ramsey, a rehabilitation specialist with the service, said: “I see what we do at NESS and the difference we make, and I get really excited about my job and going to work.

“I’m so proud of the way our service users trust us to work with them.

“This job is so rewarding that most of the time it doesn’t feel like a job.

“When you see the person out when you’re not working, you think, ‘I’ve helped that person do that.’

“It’s a brilliant feeling.”

North East Sensory Services (NESS) supports people living with sensory loss in Aberdeen City, Moray, Angus and Dundee. Everything NESS does aims to work towards their mission of “achieving independence for blind and deaf people”. All their services are joint sensory services, so our staff support people varying degrees of sight and hearing loss.
