Camera crews have been spotted around Aberdeen beach and Bon Accord Baths as filming for the new series of hit Netflix Drama Dept. Q begins in the Granite City.
The show quickly shot to fame following the success of the first season, which was filmed largely around Edinburgh, with the second series hotly anticipated.
Now, with filming getting underway, a source has revealed to The Press and Journal that crews have pitched up near Pittodrie Stadium, setting up a base for filming across the city.
As well as the beach area, filming is also taking place in the iconic Art Deco Bon Accord Baths building.
Filming trucks have pulled up outside the disused swimming pool, with crew seen carrying equipment inside.
A starring role in the smash hit show could help drive support and funding for efforts to restore and eventually reopen the baths.
Dept. Q becomes just the latest hit show to be filmed in the North-east after the thrilling Peaky Blinders season 6 finale was shot at Portsoy Harbour.
The episode was watched by over 4million people when it aired in 2022.
