Registered charity Sport Aberdeen has showcased the last in a three-part series of short films, part of an ongoing campaign aimed at getting more people active in Aberdeen.
The #naeexcuses campaign, launched in early 2016, has been working towards inspiring inactive communities to become more active through participation in sport and physical activity.
In December 2015, media companies competed to produce videos for the campaign. The competition reached 33,000 Aberdonians with the public selecting AVC Media as the winning creators.
All three films, “I Can”, “You Can” and “We Can” reflect Sport Aberdeen’s vision to create opportunities for everyone to take part in sport and physical activity, through inspiring local people.
Commenting, Sport Aberdeen Director for Sport and Active Lifestyles Jo Bell said: “This innovative approach to engaging with our community has been a huge success with the videos alone reaching tens of thousands of viewers.
“Sport Aberdeen is committed to inspiring people and changing lives through sport, with the key focus in this campaign on locality areas where barriers to participation in sport are highest.
“#naeexcuses has challenged the norm and presented sport as an activity accessible to everyone, and it is my hope that this will inspire people of all ages and abilities to take part in sport and physical activity. We’re looking forward to stepping up the campaign this summer.”
