Employers of all sizes, and across all sectors, are invited to attend a free business breakfast on Wednesday, 11 June.

The event, which is organised by Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) North East in partnership with North East Scotland College (NESCol), will showcase how organisations can tap into fresh talent and thinking by supporting Foundation Apprenticeships.

Foundation Apprenticeships offer senior pupils a blend of college, school and work-based learning, providing young people with hands-on learning and practical experience in the world of work. Equivalent to an SQA Higher, Foundation Apprenticeships sit alongside other school-based qualifications as a senior phase subject choice.

Employers can get involved by supporting young people with the work-based element of their Foundation Apprenticeship. During the business breakfast, attendees will hear how this works in practice and discover some of the benefits of having a Foundation Apprentice as part of their team.

The business breakfast will be held within Gate 63 Restaurant on NESCol’s Aberdeen City Campus. More information and registration is available via the link: https://www.dyw.org.uk/events/foundation-apprenticeship-business-breakfast
