In 2017, the Offshore Wind Workers Immigration Rules Concession (‘the Concession’) was introduced. The Concession provides leave to enter for workers classified as essential to the construction and maintenance of wind farms in UK territorial waters (whom would normally require UK work authorisation).
Now, after a series of 11th hour extensions, the Concession is set to end on 30 April 2023; it is critical that affected businesses regularise their workforces prior to this date. From 1 May 2023, foreign nationals currently working under the Concession will be subject to the UK’s immigration rules; action is required now to prevent illegal working issues beyond this date.
Please join Fragomen Senior Manager, Kelly Hardman and Associate, Evan Tutton for this informative session taking place on Thursday, 30 March discussing the considerations and options around the ending of the Concession.
