Aberdeen-based health and wellness company Healthoutfit is celebrating its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter-century of pioneering employee wellness solutions in the North-east of Scotland.

Starting up in 2000 when corporate wellness was still an emerging concept, Healthoutfit has evolved into a cornerstone of Aberdeen's health sector, weathering multiple economic cycles whilst consistently adapting to serve the community's changing needs. "Looking back on these 25 years, what strikes me most is how our core mission has remained constant while everything else has evolved around us," reflects founder Penny Elliott. "We've always been about improving lives through better health outcomes, but the way we achieve that has transformed dramatically."

The company's journey reflects its ability to stay ahead of industry trends. Key milestones include launching sports club management services in 2005, developing science-backed protocols for subsea divers, going digital in 2019, and taking health and wellness offshore in 2021. 2025 marks not only the anniversary celebration but also the launch of Healthoutfit's newest innovation: the FitScan service and Healthy4Life programme, now available to the public for the first time, extending beyond their traditional corporate client base.

As an Aberdeen-based employer, Healthoutfit has contributed to the local economy throughout its quarter-century operation, creating jobs and supporting talent development whilst fostering partnerships within the business community. "We're not just celebrating where we've been – we're excited about where we're going," says Steve McIntosh, Managing Director. "The next 25 years will bring challenges we can't yet imagine, but if our track record shows anything, it's that we'll meet them with innovation, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to our clients and community."

As Aberdeen continues to diversify its economy, businesses like Healthoutfit demonstrate the value of local companies that combine deep community roots with forward-thinking innovation.
