Independent Aberdeen-based accountancy and advisory firm Hall Morrice has welcomed Hayley Smith as part of its continued investment in people and growth.
Hayley brings over a decade of HR experience across the energy, asset integrity, and IT sectors, joining as the firm continues to evolve its people-first approach.
Born and raised in Aberdeenshire and an RGU graduate, Hayley has led transformational HR initiatives throughout her career, with a strong focus on employee relations, organisational change, and operational efficiency.
Her background includes steering teams through downturns and global challenges, fostering resilience and a return to human-centred values in the workplace. She has helped enhance employee experience and build HR infrastructure in organisations earlier in their journey.
She brings a fresh strategic approach in building an engaged workforce by prioritising operational excellence, employee participation and wellbeing, ensuring everyone can thrive.
Hall Morrice previously outsourced HR services, but Hayley’s appointment marks a shift towards building an internal, people-centric HR function tailored to the firm’s culture and values. Her approach focuses on transparency, communication, and aligning people with purpose.
“HR in an accountancy firm of this size is still quite unusual,” Hayley explains, “but the vision at Hall Morrice is bold, fresh and forward-thinking. It’s about working smarter with compassion, building trust, and making people proud to be part of the journey”.
With a focus on strategic growth, Hall Morrice continues to balance its independent roots with a progressive outlook putting people, culture, and collaboration at the heart of its future.
