Groups and individuals with an interest in nurturing their mental and physical health will have the opportunity to attend a free health and wellbeing fayre in Aberdeen on Wednesday, January 31 from 11am-2pm. The event, which is organised by social enterprise Space2b, takes place at the organisation’s new premises within Bon Accord House on Riverside Drive.

Those who visit will be able to access advice and information on healthy eating, as well as guidance on mental health, alcohol and stress awareness. Representatives from the NHS Healthy Working Lives programme, Community Food Initiatives North East (CFINE) and Alcohol & Drugs Action (ADA) will all be in attendance. Activities such as Pilates demonstrations, free health checks and stress awareness surveys will also take place throughout the event, which is open to the public and free to attend.

Karen Bain, development manager, Space2b is looking forward to welcoming people to the fayre:

“Our thoughts often turn to improving our lifestyles at the start of the year, however it is not always easy to know how best to make these improvements,” she said. “This event brings together experts in a number of different key areas, so that visitors can access information and advice in a relaxed and informal setting.

“We hope that people will take a little time out of their busy schedules to come along, chat with our partner representatives and enjoy a complimentary hot drink and muffin.”

The health and wellbeing fayre is a drop-in event with individuals and groups welcome to attend throughout its three-hour duration. Advance booking is not necessary, however further information is available by calling 01224 608992 or by emailing karen.bain@space2b.org.
