Over the weekend more than 500 young Aberdeen fans were invited to ‘Sign for the Dons’ at Pittodrie as part of the club’s FREE AberDNA Junior initiative to grow the young fan base.
The first two “Sign for the Dons” events took place on Friday and Saturday, with the relaxation of CV19 restrictions allowing the young Dons supporters the opportunity to come into Pittodrie to ‘Sign their Contracts’ before being interviewed in the press room, followed by a tour of the Home changing rooms, tunnel and pitch side. The event was a real success, enjoyed by supporters young and old alike!
The new signings were also treated to video messages from club captain Scott Brown, manager Stephen Glass and director of football Steven Gunn and were greeted by club mascots Angus the Bull, Donnie the Sheep and Robbie the Ram.
As AberDNA Junior members, all under 12s get two free tickets to Home league games which can be redeemed throughout the 2021/22 season as well as a host of other benefits.
Following on from the initial success of these events the club will be hosting more “Signing” days throughout the season to enable the rest of the 8,000 AberDNA members to experience it for themselves.
We hope to have more events scheduled during the October school holidays and we will communicate dates with AberDNA Junior Members as soon as they are confirmed.
You can sign your child up to the FREE AberDNA Junior initiative so they can attend future events and attend games at Pittodrie here.
