What does AI really mean for marketing? Is it a helpful tool, a distraction, or something in between?
Local agency Instinct Marketing + PR is inviting business owners to a free event next week exploring how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is impacting the future of marketing and what it means for the way we work, communicate, and grow our businesses.
The free event - AI & Marketing: How to stay human, stand out, and scale - takes place on Wednesday 21st May from 10am to 12pm at Aberdeen Science Centre. It’s designed to give a clearer understanding of how AI is being used in marketing today, what’s worth paying attention to, and how to approach it in a way that makes sense for your business.
The session will be led by Debbie Rennie, managing director of instinct Marketing + PR, who will share insights, practical examples and reflections on how AI is influencing the way we work, and why human connection still matters more than ever.
“Last year, we posed a provocative question…AI – Marketing Villain or Hero? A year later, we’re deeper into the AI era and the pace of change hasn’t slowed. Generative AI is moving fast, already changing how we approach marketing, from planning campaigns and generating ideas to improving productivity,” said Debbie.
“It’s a powerful tool, especially for smaller businesses looking to do more with limited time and resource. But it’s not about replacing people - it’s about using the right tools in the right way, keeping your message human, and creating value.”

- How to maintain your brand voice and not compromise values while using AI
- Simple ways to get started (or go further) with AI to enhance your human advantage, not replace it.
The event is open to business leaders, marketers, and curious professionals interested to learn more about how AI fits into the future of our work.
“We know there’s a lot of interest, and a lot of questions about AI right now,” added Debbie. “This is a chance to explore the topic in a supportive, practical setting and leave with some fresh thinking, useful ideas, and more confidence to move forward.”
