Jelf, leading advisers in insurance, risk management and employee benefits, is to take part in the 179th Royal Highland Show as it seeks to continue its growth trend across Scotland.

The insurance broker is exhibiting at the event from Thursday, June 20 to Sunday, June 23 in partnership with specialist motor insurer ERS, which provides horsebox and farm vehicle cover and is among Jelf’s agricultural sector partners.

Visitors are being invited to the stand, where they can meet with Jelf’s dedicated team and obtain a goody bag filled with giveaways including flapjacks to keep them fuelled. Appointments can be booked by visiting www.jelf.com/rhs.

Jelf is also running a competition offering visitors to the stand the chance to win a new Honda TRX420FM2 quad bike valued at £8,000.

The Royal Highland Show is Scotland’s leading showcase for food, farming and rural life, with about 1,000 exhibitors displaying at stands and attracting about 190,000 visitors. It also hosts Scotland’s largest equestrian event, at which many of Britain’s top British show-jumpers compete.

Jelf’s investment in the event comes as the insurance broker celebrates the first anniversary of its acquisition of Clark Thomson, formerly Scotland’s largest independent broker.

As part of Jelf’s commitment to growing in Scotland, new chief executive Anthony Gruppo recently visited key branches north of the Border including its office in Westhill, Aberdeen, where Jelf has appointed a new management team to lead its plans to expand across the North-east.

He was also in Glasgow, to see Jelf’s first major trading centre in the city, based in the prestigious G1 building.

Ben Bailey, managing director of Jelf in Scotland and the Lakes, said: “It is a very exciting time for Jelf in Scotland right now as we prepare for our first Royal Highland Show in partnership with ERS.

“We are absolutely committed to becoming the broker of choice across the country and as part of our strategy we will be actively supporting and engaging with events and organisations that are important not only to our clients, but also to the communities in which we live and work.

“We’d like to thank our partners at ERS for giving us the opportunity to join them, and I’d encourage anyone visiting the Royal Highland Show or exhibiting at the showground to visit our stand and find out more about our market-leading insurance solutions.”

The joint Jelf and ERS stand will be located at Stand 21 in the Motor Section of 10th Avenue.
