The Conservatives have moved ahead of Labour in the polls for the first time since Boris Johnson was prime minister.
Data from the Telegraph's poll tracker has revealed the Conservative Party sits on 18.5%, its highest rating since May, while Labour has slumped to just 18%.
It marks the first time the Tories have held a lead over Labour in the polls since Boris Johnson's government began to crumble due to in-fighting and Covid party controversies in 2021.
Both Labour and the Tories, however, still sit some way behind Reform UK, which has led the polls since March with a latest score of 29.3%.
The Greens have taken advantage of falling support for Labour to reach 15.5%, putting them ahead of the Liberal Democrats in the polls, who are averaging 12.7%.
The Telegraph’s poll tracker takes account of data from a range of respected pollsters, including YouGov, Opinium and Savanta, and balances that against with how well each firm predicted the last election.
