Leading Aberdeenshire company to take part in Edinburgh conference

A leading provider of innovative asset cleaning and decontamination solutions will take part in a major industry conference in Edinburgh later this month.

Denholm MacNamee technical business development manager Peter Reynolds will take part in the ABB Consulting Conference “Shutdowns, Turnarounds & Outages” which will run at Edinburgh’s Radisson Blu Hotel on March 29 and 30.

The event will provide an insight into best in class performance of shutdowns and turnarounds in the process industries, utilising operator focused case studies and sharing the lessons learnt.

Peter will contribute to a day one afternoon session looking at reducing TAR durations through application of technology, specifically Zyme-Flow® Decon Technology for which Denholm MacNamee is the approved, exclusive UK license holder.

This patented formulation, single step decontamination system treats the vessel contents whilst eliminating pyrophoric iron sulphide (FeS) and hydrogen sulphide (Hâ‚‚S) and liberating LEL and benzene to enable fast and safe vessel entry. The dynamic family of chemistry utilised is non-toxic, non-hazardous, biodegradable, wastewater friendly, near neutral pH and compatible with all metallurgies and process equipment – an attractive option in a range of environments from single vessel decontamination to full plant shutdowns due to its ability to reduce turnaround times.

Chemistry graduate Peter Reynolds has 20 years of chemical cleaning and decontamination experience and has, for over 15 years, worked within the oil industry on a large number of different decontamination and tank cleaning projects in the UK, Europe, Asia and Africa.

Inverurie-based Denholm MacNamee is a leading one-stop provider of asset cleaning and decontamination solutions to the oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation and utilities industries and works closely with customers to provide bespoke, uncompromising solutions which give the option to combine services whilst considering key issues such as cost and schedule delivery.
