Aberdeen-based taxi and private hire company, LeadRyde Taxis has launched its Taxi School, a dedicated training programme designed to prepare aspiring drivers for the mandatory Aberdeen Street Knowledge Test.

The initiative aims to address Aberdeen’s current driver shortage while raising industry standards by offering structured and accessible training. The school focuses on the city's complex road networks, major landmarks, and high customer service expectations.

Key features of the LeadRyde taxi school include comprehensive preparation for the Aberdeen Street knowledge test, flexible learning schedules, one-on-one support and fast-track options with real-life route familiarisation.

David Alaita, managing director of LeadRyde Taxis, said: "We’re delighted to be contributing to Aberdeen’s local workforce by launching a programme that not only prepares candidates for the knowledge test but also nurtures confidence, professionalism, and pride in serving the city."

The taxi school forms part of LeadRyde’s broader commitment to community development and service excellence, ensuring drivers are well-prepared to deliver safe, knowledgeable, and efficient service across Aberdeen and surrounding areas.
