Local children’s charity, Befriend a Child, is hosting a Gin Tasting Evening on Thursday, March 23 at iconic local venue, Grape & Grain.
Guests will enjoy a relaxed evening in beautiful surroundings, sampling craft gins by Aviemore’s Kinrara Distillery. Alongside the tasting, the team at Grape & Grain will serve delicious platters with appetisers that have been selected to compliment the craft gins.
Kicking off at 6pm, attendees will be welcomed by the team from Befriend a Child, before learning more about the drinks on offer. Kinrara Distillery is an award-winning producer, inspired by the beauty of the Cairngorms landscape. They utilise an abundance of locally foraged botanicals to create contemporary gins in small batches. Distiller, Andrew, will talk attendees through the history of the distillery, including how the flavours are produced, before moving on to the tasting, where guests will sample four different gins.
There will be an opportunity to win some fantastic prizes on the night in Befriend a Child’s raffle and take part in a fun game of Gin or Tonic, with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the company of friends.
As the tasting comes to an end, guests can extend their evening and enjoy some live music by local entertainer and member of Ocean’s 3, Dan Greavey.
All ticket purchases will directly benefit Befriend a Child’s befriending and mentoring programmes. The charity supports over 250 disadvantaged children and young people every year through these projects, helping to ensure they have the best chance in life to thrive.
