Clan Cancer Support’s centre in Crimond will be hosting an open day on Saturday 2nd April from 10am – 2pm to welcome new and existing clients through the doors to get the chance to meet staff members, volunteers and newly appointed therapists.
Located within Crimond Medical & Community Hub, Suite H, Logie Avenue West, the centre provides a safe and supportive space for anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis. The open day will be a chance for anyone to find out more information about the services on offer and what’s on in the local area, as well as to meet and chat to cancer support professionals.
Angie Howarth, North Aberdeenshire Area Services Coordinator, says “The open day will give members of the public a chance to see the facility and what we offer on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, and how we can support people facing a cancer diagnosis. Our team here in Crimond are looking forward to welcoming new and existing clients through the doors on Saturday and answering any questions they may have.”
Kay Johnson, Head of Cancer Support Services for Clan, says “We are delighted to be hosting the open day for people to see our Crimond Facility and meet the team here.
Cancer patients have been particularly hard hit during the pandemic due to delays in diagnosis and treatment, so the support that Clan provides is vitally important to help them and their families cope with the emotional trauma. To continue to do this, Clan needs the support of local communities and I urge anyone who would like to know more to get in touch about our open day on Saturday 2nd April”
