Clan Cancer Support, a local charity across the north-east and Northern Isles, has gone live with its annual online auction. From February 9-27 the public will be able to bid on an array of items to raise funds for the charity’s vital cancer support services.
Despite cancelling and postponing many of their events in 2020 and 2021, Clan has continued to provide support to people throughout the north-east and Northern Isles as a result of online fundraising and events. The online auction has proven to be a popular choice for many who prefer to support Clan virtually.
Clan's charity development manager, Ruth McIntosh, says: “We have a fantastic array of items to suit everyone and what better way to treat yourself and others while helping to support a local charity? From local artwork, afternoon teas and gift hampers, to luxury overnight stays, golf experiences and more, there will be something for everyone. We are very grateful to the individuals, families and businesses who have donated items to the auction.”
Ruth continues: “The last couple of years have been difficult for everyone, especially those facing a cancer diagnosis, so it’s more important than ever, now that we are returning to a sense of normal, that we still offer ways to support Clan that are accessible to all. Our online auction aims to be that platform that everyone can access.
Our wellbeing centres, Clan Haven, transport and telephone support services continue to be there for people affected by a cancer diagnosis across the North of Scotland. Our support is more vital than ever, and by supporting events like our online auction, you will allow us to be here for people facing a cancer diagnosis now and in the years to come.”
