People across the North-east are being asked to swap
their usual new year resolutions for a raise-olution to support The Archie
Foundation instead.
The campaign, which kicks-off on January 1, 20223, will
see hundreds of individuals across the region getting sponsored for achieving
either a month-by-month goal or a target for the year.
Cassie Mcgunnigle, Fundraising Manager at The Archie
Foundation said: ”There are many resolutions to pick from, you could get
sponsored for quitting smoking, learning a new skill or hobby or go vegetarian.
If you wanted to go all out, you could have a different resolution each month!
For example, go vegan in January, host an event for Archie in February and undertake
5k a day in May.”
Everyone who signs up for Archie’s Raise-olutions appeal
will receive a fundraising e-pack including several ideas for targets to try
and hit in the new year. The pack also includes cards to write down goals or
plans, and templates to invite family and friends to sponsor.
Cassie continued: “We are excited to be kicking off
Raise-olutions again for 2023, it’s such a versatile challenge to get involved
with and we hope the communities across the north of Scotland will get
involved, whether that is taking part in the challenge or sponsor someone who
is.”
The Archie Foundation is the official charity of Royal
Aberdeen Children’s Hospital and Aberdeen Neonatal Unit, Tayside Children’s
Hospital and Highland Children’s Unit, and provides vital services and support
to sick babies and children, as well as supporting bereaved families throughout
the north of Scotland, through Archie’s Child Bereavement Service.
“You can achieve a goal you have always wanted to all
while helping to support Archie’s crucial services across the north of
Scotland.” Cassie said.
