In the heart of Aberdeen lies a beacon of hope for the youth - a programme that’s changing lives through one mentor relationship at a time. MCR Pathways invites the community to join an informative information session highlighting the transformative power of mentoring and how you can get involved.
MCR Pathways is an award-winning charity dedicated to supporting young people, including those who are care-experienced or have experienced disadvantage, to help them realise their full potential through education.
At MCR Pathways, the power of mentorship to change lives, one relationship at a time, is fundamental. Volunteer mentors dedicate just one hour per week at a local school, where they are matched with a young person
based on their likes, personality and life experiences. Through these weekly sessions, mentors play a vital role in encouraging and supporting their mentee, offering guidance, advice, and a listening ear.
There are significant benefits to individuals and organisations that get involved with MCR Pathways. Mentoring develops empathy and self-awareness, communication, and listening skills. It also increases employee satisfaction and productivity within the workplace. Additionally, the satisfaction of making a difference, the joy of witnessing a young person's growth, and the sense of community that accompanies it are just a few of the rewards that await those who choose to volunteer with MCR Pathways.
To find out how mentoring is transforming young people’s lives and how you can get involved, join an information session where you’ll have the opportunity to find out more about MCR Pathways and ask any questions you may have.
