Sport Aberdeen is a registered charity and a leading provider of sport and leisure services, managing 31 venues across the city.
At Sport Aberdeen, we believe in the transformative power of sport and physical activity to change lives. We create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to improve their fitness, support their wellbeing, and lead happier, more fulfilling lives.
Our goal is to make Aberdeen the fittest city in the UK - and we’d love more Aberdonians to be part of that journey - come and join us!
Who are your customers?
Our services are available to everyone, regardless of age, ability or circumstance. Whether it’s getting active for the first time, recovering from injury or illness, or maintaining fitness for everyday life, we’re here to help people achieve their goals.
What is the biggest challenge and opportunity your organisation is facing right now?
The ongoing challenge of funding the refurbishment and maintenance of the facilities we operate on behalf of Aberdeen City Council, particularly as public sector budgets come under pressure.
However, this also presents an opportunity and, by reinvesting every penny back into the city, we continue to enhance our facilities and experience growing membership. Community engagement is also strong at our venues such as Get Active at Northfield, Jesmond, Sheddocksley, Bucksburn Swimming Pool, and soon at the new Aberdeen Tennis Centre at Westburn Park.
What is your word of advice for fellow Chamber members?

Aberdeen has shown an amazing resilience in supporting truly successful global industries for generations and we can continue to do that by working together and sharing ideas with a stronger collective voice to ensure a bright future for our city.
What is the best thing about being a Chamber member?
Being part of a community that supports, inspires and connects people and businesses. The ability to tap into a shared network of organisations all working towards improving our local economy is incredibly valuable.
