NCIMB has appointed Richard Fountain as pharmaceutical business development manager.
NCIMB manages the National Collection of Industrial Food and Marine Bacteria, and provides microbiology, chemical analysis and biomaterial storage services to a number of market sectors including pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, agriculture, food and drink and the environmental sector.
The company plans to grow activities in the pharmaceutical sector during 2017, and this new appointment is a key part of their strategy.
Richard has experience working with a wide variety of customers within the scientific, analytical and medical markets. Commenting on his appointment he said: “NCIMB has a strong track record of working with the pharmaceutical sector, through the supply of bacterial reference cultures as well as the provision of cGMP standard microbial identification and biomaterial storage services. Recent growth in the UK pharmaceutical sector, along with the trend towards outsourcing within the industry, provides a great opportunity for the company and I am really looking forward to getting out and meeting new customers”.
