Women In Tech Aberdeen are delighted to announce its upcoming collaborative networking tips event on May 30, 2024.
The event will take place at the One Tech Hub, commencing at 6:00pm and will be facilitated by Stacy Edghill, Founder and Managing Director of Hibiscus Media. A special guest, Silka Patel from Scotland Women in Technology will also join and share details about the work they do across Scotland and provide an update on this year’s Women in Tech Awards, including nomination tips.
This event promises an evening filled with insightful discussions, networking opportunities, and the chance to meet like-minded women who are making significant strides in the Tech industry. The Women in Tech Aberdeen events series is going from strength to strength, with women from across the North-east keen to advance their careers and improve their skills.
“Feedback from our community members requested opportunities to develop their networking skills, so we are delighted to be providing this opportunity to work with Stacy.” explains Jana Vidis from IFB and the event organising committee.
“We know that the idea of networking and feeling intimidated about situations where you’re speaking to people you don’t know is a feeling that many people experience. But we also know that sometimes truly magical things can happen from networking and engaging in conversations with people that you might not normally talk to.
"This event is the perfect opportunity to glean tips from an expert and practice your new skills in a safe environment.” shares Women in Tech Aberdeen committee member Caroline Laurenson.
Attendance at the event is open to all interested in technology, regardless of their level of experience or background. Tickets are available at £12 each.
The Women in Tech Aberdeen committee are keen to open up this event to students and early career starters, therefore tickets are being sold using a buy one gift one model. This networking masterclass offers tremendous value, booking early is encouraged. If individuals are aware of students, colleagues or connections who could benefit from the session, they are encouraged to share the details so those parties can access the available free spaces.
