Aberdeen is set to welcome a new hotel and restaurant, offering visitors and locals alike a new place to rest, dine, relax and work in the city centre.
The Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel will open later this summer transforming the previous Robert Gordon University building on St Andrew Street. A premium casual restaurant, Chop Grill & Bar, will also open on the site offering Aberdeen foodies the chance to sample a variety of dishes made with locally sourced ingredients.
The hotel will boast 218 guest rooms & suites, a stunning lobby area and conference facilities while the restaurant will offer contemporary dining space, a separate bar and whisky snug. Both the hotel and restaurant are owned and operated by Canada-based Northland Properties, a family business which prides itself on providing the best comfort and service to guests.
Murray Todd, general manager at Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel, commented: “We’re really excited to be bringing our 50 years of Hospitality experience to Aberdeen with the opening of Sandman Signature Hotel Aberdeen.
“With something for every guest, from quality bedrooms and a luxurious lobby to spacious conference facilities, this is a new and exciting addition to Aberdeen’s city centre.”
Patrick Mercer, general manager at Chop Grill & Bar, added: “Chop Grill & Bar is set to be a sought-after place to try new food and drink in a comfortable yet stylish setting in the heart of Aberdeen. Guests will be able to enjoy all day dining, choosing from breakfast, lunch or dinner, or a catch up with friends over cocktails or a whisky in one of our bars.”
