Gillian Donald has been appointed as a Partner at Blackadders in Aberdeen.
Gillian is joining the employment team from Brodies LLP and has extensive experience working with clients in the North-east of Scotland.
Gillian said: “I am really excited to be joining Blackadders as a partner in their Employment Team. The Firm’s commitment to providing quality client service fits in well with my own personal work goals.

Most of Gillian’s career was spent with Stronachs where she was partner and head of the Employment team. In 2015 she took a career break to care for her son, who suffered from a degenerative illness. She then returned to the legal profession and joined Brodies LLP in Aberdeen as a senior associate.
Gillian advises on a full range of employment law matters and is known for her practical, solution-focussed advice.

The Employment Team at Blackadders operates across all of the Firm’s offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen. Services offered by the Team include advising on restructuring exercises, discrimination and equality advice, employment tribunal representation, executive dismissals and negotiations and bespoke training services for employers.
Gillian is the latest in a string of high-profile recruits to the Firm which has set ambitious targets to be an employer of choice in the legal profession and a top five Scottish firm within three years.
